The fight against fascism in the US is focused against the MAGA-Republicans, according to Biden, but we must not forget that both Democrats and non MAGA Republicans are also contributing to the growth of fascist attitudes in the U.S. Fascism is a ruling class tool and both parties are controlled by the ruling class. The welcoming hand offered to the neo-Nazi Azov people makes this clear. What upsets the ruling class is the MAGA Republicans are playing their trump card prematurely-- bourgeois democracy is working just fine for them and there are even "leftists" praising it to the skies-- it didn't work for the Eurocommunists and it won't save us from future fascist take over when the ruling class thinks it really needs it. Current reality dictates our use of it against a clear and present danger but it's real working class democracy that rejects the bourgeoisie that we have to fight for in the future.

Who blew up the pipeline?
Who blew up the pipeline. Cui bono? None other than the good ol'USA-- at least the imperialist government run by Biden in the service of US oil and gas interests. The capitalist mainstream media is out to dupe us again, trying to convince us that their capitalist government is our (the people's) government. Elections coming up, still the bad is better than the worse-- we are stuck between 'friendly' quasi-fascists and really nasty ones (until we get off our derrières and begin organizing a mass left opposition)-so better dead than red -- keep the Republicans out of power!

What would Biden do?
This article is basically all speculation. Two things, however, are clear-- the US is doing nothing to calm down the situation and may even be provoking it. "Such threats and counterthreats, seemingly right out of the worst moments of the Cold War, are exactly the kind that most Americans and Russians thought ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union." They would have ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Warsaw Pact IF the US had not decided to expand NATO right up to the Russian border and overthrow a Russian friendly government in Ukraine and replace it with rabid ant-Russian nationalists. You reap what you sow. Use your imagination-- suppose the Soviet Union did not collapse but incorporated Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela into the Warsaw Pact, overthrew the government of Mexico and put a pro Soviet anti-Yankee government in power and proposed it join the Warsaw pact as well. The US protests and is told not to worry the Soviet Union is only trying to make the world more safe and secure--it's not threatening the US. Well, Biden would react like Putin.
