Mongols Biker Club & The Government

SUNDAY SERMON (1-13-19): "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." --Matthew 7:16-20 Why this quote from The Sermon on the Mount (The Communist Manifesto of its day)? Well, because this story about the Mongols Biker Club is an instantiation of Jesus' sermon in so far as the Mongols are the fruit of the society they have grown up in, they reflect in miniature the capitalist society of "USA, USA". Consider the following quote: “These men, fueled by, based on the evidence which you’ve heard, by rage and methamphetamine, empowered by these symbols that they wear like armor, roaming the world like urban predators searching for people to victimize,” Mr. Welk said". Welk, the prosecutor, could have been describing how many of the poor and oppressed of the world view US Imperialism and it's military (let alone minority communities in the US with relation to the police) and the loyalty they show towards their logo is analogous to the pagan flag worship inculcated by the US government (just replace "methamphetamine" with "addiction to the natural resources and wealth of others"). The Mongols defend themselves from the accusation they are a criminal organization because of the violence associated with some of their members with the following argument: "Mr. Yanny [Mongol's lawyer] also stated that crimes carried out by Mongols were “spontaneous rogue acts of individuals” that were not hatched or approved by club officers. Referring to the brutal 1991 beating of Rodney King by a group of Los Angeles police officers, he told the jury “that doesn’t make the L.A.P.D. a criminal organization."” Really? Shoot a police person and it's a crime; a police person shoots an unarmed, and even surrendering or non-violent ordinary citizen (especially a minority person) and it's .... What? The Mongols, the Police, and the Military, what do they have in common?-- "Ye shall know them by their fruits."
